Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program or holds an Associate's Degree in a related field.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred.
• Certification from NMTCB or ARRT in Nuclear Medicine Technology is mandatory.
• Additional certifications such as ARRT(CT) or NMTCB(PET) are preferred.
• Two years of post-program graduate experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• California State certification for Nuclear Medicine is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate imaging cameras for radioactive drug detection.
• Position patients accurately and select appropriate technical factors.
• Order, prepare, administer, and manage radiopharmaceuticals according to protocols.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and procedures.
• Ensure high-quality images and documents are submitted to PACS.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance on imaging equipment.
• Report and address any equipment malfunctions or issues found.
