Responsibilities & Requirements

The Nuclear Medicine Quality Specialist is responsible for the assurance of quality in all nuclear medicine and PET imaging procedures for Kettering Health. Dual reporting to Nuclear Medicine Director and Network Radiation Safety officer (RSO), employee evaluations and HR reporting will be the responsibility of RSO. They will collaborate with NM leadership, Radiation Safety, and physicians in nuclear medicine and cardiology to ensure accreditation and regulatory standards are met. Responsible for day-to-day adherence to regulatory requirements to ensure quality metrics are achieved. The specialist will be responsible for IAC accreditation and maintaining monthly QA meetings, protocol updates, and quality review records. The Specialist will work with the Director and RSO to choose appropriate QI measures and report progress as required. The Specialist must exhibit superior technical nuclear medicine/PET skills and customer service skills both toward interna land external customers. Collaborates with Nuclear Medicine and radiation safety staff to record QA measures, educate technologists as needed and participates in patient care and on call scheduling as required to maintain skills in nuclear medicine. Works under the RSO and Director to evaluate new processes and equipment for performance and safety. Maintains overall all efficient workflow of department as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
