NPTI Engineering ManagerHere's the Gist: You will lead a team responsible for aiding in the development and characterization of new Power products and technologies with a goal of delivering manufacturable products and processes in the Mohawk Valley Fab. The team will work closely with R&D to perform process windowing using DOE, conduct gage R&Rs, evaluate and characterize new tool/metro platforms, validate specs, assess new process Cpk, and compile a process manual for each new technology. The team will work closely with integration to understand any new process interactions.
The Day-to-Day - Lead a Fab engineering team that owns and reports on progress of new product and new technology characterization activities.
- Manage NPTI team that provides new and existing tool development, process development, and metrology setup for new products and new technologies.
- Engage with the Sustaining Process Engineering team early to enable Manufacturing success by ensuring knowledge is shared and process knobs are understood.
- Participate in all NPI/NTI gate reviews. In the early phases, highlight areas of concern from a Fab manufacturability standpoint. In the later phases, summarize performance against design specs to ensure each new process/technology is ready for HVM.
- Provide roadmap for any new Fab processes not meeting manufacturing targets.
- Build process for handoff between development and production to ensure all items required for HVM are ready: SPC, MSA, specs, training, new tool PMs/consumables, automation, etc.
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):- Bachelors in Engineering or Sciences with 5+ years of prior leadership experience
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Equivalent, MS (with thesis) or PhD is a plus. Background in power semiconductors preferred.
- 5+ years' experience in Fab Process/Development Engineering with focus on new process development/characterization and/or transferring new technologies into production.
- Strong background in DFMY, DOE, SPC, JMP, pFMEA, MSA, and failure analysis.
- High energy with excellent written, verbal, interpersonal skills.
- Ability to identify, confront, and resolve difficult problems.

The posted salary range is what Wolfspeed reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual pay for a hired applicant will be determined based on the individual's job-relevant qualifications, experience, and other determinative factors. In the event it is determined that a different job level upon hire is warranted then that range will be communicated to the hired applicant as soon as reasonably practicable.
Compensation Range:
$141,000.00 - $194,000.00
