Title: NP, Coordinator, Structural Heart Program

Location: Fountain Valley

Department: Cardiology Pro Fees

Status: Full-time

Shift: Day

Pay Range*: $144,934.40 - $227,510.40/annually

Position Summary

This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Orange Coast Medical Center. The employee shall support Orange Coast Medical Center's strategic plan and participate in and advocate performance improvement/patient safety activities.

The Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioner (EP NP) is an advanced practice provider responsible for the comprehensive management of patients with cardiac arrhythmias and electrophysiology-related conditions across the inpatient and outpatient continuum of care. The EP NP collaborates with electrophysiologists, cardiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to provide evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, care coordination, patient education, and clinical follow-up. Responsibilities include ambulatory clinic management, inpatient consultations and rounding, stress testing, procedural support, device management, and program development to support quality outcomes and service line growth.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications/Work Experience:

  • Master's or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree.
  • Current California RN and NP licensure.
  • National certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Furnishing license and DEA registration.
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Structural Heart Experience 3-5 years required
  • Minimum three years of cardiovascular nursing experience


Education/Licensure/Certification

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
  • Valid California License as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Valid Furnishing License
  • Valid DEA License-preferred
  • Board certification in area of specialty by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or American Nursing Credentialing Center.
  • A current certification from the American Heart Association in Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • A current certification from the American Heart Association in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Malpractice Insurance Coverage as required by the Medical Staff Bylaws.
