At Syngenta, our goal is to build the most collaborative and trustworthy team in agriculture, providing top-quality seeds and innovative crop protection solutions that improve farmers' success. To support this mission, Syngenta's Development Team is seeking a North American Project Manager in Greensboro, NC. This role will lead and manage all aspects of end-to-end delivery for assigned projects within the North America (NA) Crop Protection Development (CPD) project portfolio, with alignment to our company strategy and governance framework.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead collaborative and effective regional multi-functional project teams to bring together complete, consistent, and reliable information on projects.
  • Proactively identify, document, and manage project resources, timelines, risks, issues, and opportunities to ensure rigorous control of the development process.
  • Lead projects through established stage gate promotion process at Regional and Global Levels.
  • Ensure that all proper documentation for stage promotions is well prepared and archived.
  • Ensure projects obtain the necessary Technical and Commercial review in advance of governance body review.
  • Ensure transparency at project and portfolio level; responsible for promoting and facilitating decision-making that is fact-based.
  • Management of resource deployment, risk profile and clarity on project progress and delivery to milestones and budget.
  • Work closely with Marketing teams to ensure project pipeline aligns with our commercial strategy.
  • Serve as the primary project contact for multiple key functional leaders and be accountable for stakeholder management.
  • Tightly manage project data in IT tools; promote global standards, methodology, and ways of working aimed at managing and reducing complexity and increasing effectiveness and efficiency in operations.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's/Master's or higher, or equivalent work experience.
  • Advanced English (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Advanced project management training, such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent qualification is desirable.
  • Minimum 2 years work experience in project management.
  • Minimum 8 years work experience in Agribusiness Research and Development or related industry, including a technical role and with cross-cultural/international experience, preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of R&D functions and processes necessary for new product development
  • Candidates must be already located in the United States and not require visa sponsorship now or in the future (Includes OPT).
