Success in this role requires the ability to transform complex data, market trends, customer insights, and competitive intelligence into clear, compelling stories that influence decision-making and drive action. The ideal candidate combines analytical rigor with creative problem-solving to identify opportunities that others may overlook.

The Portfolio Planning Manager must possess the technical competence to evaluate vehicle architectures, powertrains, and emerging technologies while challenging conventional thinking and developing innovative portfolio alternatives. The selected candidate will synthesize diverse inputs into concise, persuasive narratives and present recommendations to senior leadership across Brand, Product Design Office, Engineering, and Finance. These recommendations will support governance decisions and shape Stellantis' long-range product plans.

This role collaborates extensively with a broad network of internal and external partners, including Product Development, Architecture Engineering, Program Management, Design, Brand, Finance, and Market Intelligence teams. The Portfolio Planning Manager will be expected to bring together data, research, customer insights, and business considerations into a unified point of view that helps guide strategic decisions throughout the organization.

The Portfolio Planning team is looking for individuals who are energized by ambiguity, embrace change, and consistently deliver results. We value professionals who view execution not as a task, but as a way of life-individuals who combine creativity with accountability and consistently turn ideas into action. Successful candidates will demonstrate a passion for the automotive industry, strong strategic thinking skills, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to quickly connect disparate pieces of information into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.

Team members are expected to build trusted relationships founded on transparency, collaboration, and mutual respect. Exceptional communication, storytelling, and presentation skills are critical, as is the ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across diverse organizations. The strongest candidates will possess sound judgment, a bias for action, and a proven ability to inspire confidence by delivering high-quality work in a fast-moving environment where priorities continuously evolve.

    • Strong understanding of dimensional rudders and ability to evaluate the alignment to customer requirements
    • Comprehension of VisBoMs (Visual Bill of Material) and ability to relate to associated investment
    • Familiarity with Stellantis vehicle architectures and experience with identifying synergies between programs to reduce costs and investment
  • Strong aptitude for formulating context, identifying patterns, developing, insights and implications, and delivering data driven alternatives
