Position SummaryThe Non-Invasive Cardiology Specialist is an essential member of a highly trained cardiac team that includes a Supervising Cardiologist and an ETT technician, or second Cardiac Specialist. The Non-Invasive Cardiology Specialist works collaboratively across the continuum of care to assure patients move through the system safely and efficiently while providing a non-invasive diagnostic service for detecting coronary artery disease.
The Non-Invasive Specialist is an RN who is responsible for the safe screening, administration and recovery of adult inpatients and outpatients receiving an exercise or pharmacologic cardiac stress test under the direct or personal supervision of a Cardiologist. The Non -Invasive Cardiology Specialist works within the team to provide the highest level of customer service in an environment that is safe and supportive. Our care delivery model emphasizes a high priority on patient and family education while fostering compassion and empathy though the process of cardiac stress testing.
Education and Experience - R.N., BSN, licensed in the state of Massachusetts
- Two years of critical care experience in an acute care hospital
- ACLS certification.
- Completion of advanced 12 lead EKG interpretation education within the first three months of hire.
- Completion of unit-based competencies within 4 months of hire.
- Strong physical assessment skills.
- Experience using EMR.
- Practices utilizing patient and family centered care model.
- Able to respond appropriately in emergency situations and function collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
