  • Maintain accurate records and logs for all inspections and procedures.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.

Location:

On-site in Lynchburg, VA.

Your Day to Day as an NDT Inspector:

  • Perform NDT inspections using various methods (ultrasonic, radiographic, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, eddy
    current, etc.) on components utilizing conventional and automated inspection equipment.
  • Perform loading of components using lifting and handling equipment and fixturing.
  • Perform calibration, inspection, and process control checks on NDT equipment.
  • Interpret, evaluate, and document inspection results in accordance with code requirements and operating
    procedures.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records, logs, and documentation related to all work.
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.


Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must also meet one (1) of the following training/experience requirements:
    • Successfully graduated from the Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing (ATDM) NDT program.
    • Successfully completed an NDT program or equivalent from a recognized trade school or community college.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an NDT inspector with preference in Ultrasonic (UT), Radiography (RT), or Liquid Penetrant (LP) inspections.
  • Must have the ability to learn and utilize software applications specific to the company.
  • Must meet the required WorkKeys assessment standards.
  • Must be highly motivated, with a focus on attention to detail.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.

Pay: $38.56

The starting hourly rate for this position in Virginia (US-VA) is expected to be $38.56 per hour. The hourly rate offered is based on local job market factors and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
