Job Details

The Night Shift Pharmacist Supervisor supports safe, accurate, and timely medication dispensing and pharmaceutical care activities across routine pharmacy operations. Applies foundational clinical and operational judgment to maintain medication safety, documentation integrity, and service continuity. Contributes to medication access, inventory stewardship, and issue resolution within defined practice standards and digital workflows. Builds proficiency in future-oriented pharmacy practices that improve patient outcomes, regulatory alignment, and operational reliability

Hours: Sunday to Thursday nights 9pm to 6am

Responsibilities:
  • Supports medication dispensing, preparation, and fulfillment activities to enable safe, accurate, and timely pharmacy service delivery.
  • Reviews prescriptions, medication orders, and related documentation for completeness, appropriateness, and accuracy within defined practice standards.
  • Counsels patients and caregivers on medication use, administration, storage, and safety requirements within scope of practice.
  • Maintains accurate dispensing, inventory, and patient medication records to support traceability, continuity of care, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitors medication inventory, product integrity, and replenishment needs to support supply continuity and minimize avoidable waste.
  • Uses pharmacy systems and digital tools to support order processing, documentation, issue resolution, and workflow efficiency.
  • Contributes to quality assurance, audit readiness, and continuous improvement efforts that strengthen safe and reliable pharmacy operations.


Education:

Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, clinical pharmacy, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.

Skills and Knowledge:

2+ years of experience in retail pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, outpatient pharmacy, dispensing operations, medication review, or a related field required.

Certification in pharmacy licensure, registration, or authorization to practice in the applicable jurisdiction where legally required, or equivalent preferred.
