Qualifications

• Board certified as Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant/Associate.
• National Provider Identifier (NPI) must be obtained before start date.
• Current DEA Registration required with comprehensive prescribing authority.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Emergency Neurological Life Support (ENLS) certification essential.
• Preferred: one year experience in neuro-critical care as NP or PA, or prior neuro ICU experience as RN.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to acutely ill and medically complex patients in the neuro-intensive care unit.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including EEG services and neurology consultants.
• Work closely with fellowship trained neuro-intensivist physicians and neurosurgery teams.
• Assist in procedure proctoring as needed and participate in night shifts.
• Contribute to patient assessments and management protocols in critical care situations.
