Talent Stacked is looking for an experienced Network Systems & Security Engineer to join a growing MSP in Frankfort, IL, to handle complex infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity needs in a managed IT environment, with deep expertise in ThreatLocker and zero-trust security.

This role is ideal for someone who has worked in an MSP environment and understands how to implement, manage, and scale security policies across multiple client environments. This is not simply a role for someone who knows how to operate ThreatLocker. We are looking for someone who understands the broader impact of zero-trust security, can evaluate new tools and features, and can help develop thoughtful approaches that balance security, operational needs, and end-user impact.

Required Experience

  • 4+ years of systems, network, or security administration experience
  • Deep, hands-on expertise with ThreatLocker and zero-trust security
  • Experience managing ThreatLocker policies across multiple environments, clients, or business units
  • Ability to evaluate security policies and changes with consideration for cybersecurity risk, operational impact, and end-user experience
  • Experience identifying security or infrastructure issues and developing a scalable approach to auditing and addressing similar risks across multiple environments
  • Experience working in an MSP, multi-client, or similarly complex IT environment
  • Advanced experience with Cisco Meraki and Ubiquiti, including firewalls, switches, and wireless access points
  • Microsoft Windows Server, Hyper-V, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, LDAP, RADIUS, and NPS
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, and Conditional Access
  • RDS and VPC management
  • Microsoft Defender, OneDrive, and SharePoint
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices, secure system design, and configuration management

Preferred

  • ThreatLocker Cyber Hero certification or equivalent advanced ThreatLocker training
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, CompTIA Network+, or Security+
  • ConnectWise Manage experience

What We're Looking For

  • Proven Level 2/Level 3 systems, network, or security engineering experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
  • Ability to think beyond a single issue or client environment and identify potential risks or opportunities for improvement across the organization
  • Ability to communicate technical recommendations, cybersecurity risks, and operational tradeoffs to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfortable taking initiative, evaluating new technologies, and developing practical recommendations before implementation
  • Resourceful, self-driven, and comfortable handling complex technical challenges
