OverviewNcyber is seeking a Network & Security Infrastructure Engineer to architect, secure, and operate the networking infrastructure supporting mission-critical software platforms for the National Security Community. This role owns the design, security, automation, and reliability of enterprise networking across on-premises and hybrid-cloud environments. You will lead the evolution of our networking architecture while partnering closely with platform engineers and software teams to deliver resilient, secure infrastructure.
Responsibilities
You’ll help build and evolve secure network infrastructure, connectivity, and automation that enable reliable, scalable, and resilient mission systems.Responsibilities include:
- Design enterprise network architectures supporting sensitive operational environments requiring resilient, controlled, and secure communications
- Engineer highly available network infrastructure that enables traffic segmentation, policy enforcement, secure routing, and operational isolation across diverse environments
- Design secure connectivity using VPN and Zero Trust technologies
- Operate and improve Fortinet security infrastructure
- Design and troubleshoot complex routing environments
- Build network automation solutions
- Support hybrid-cloud and specialized networking capabilities that enhance operational security, traffic management, and attribution control for customer missions
- Implement monitoring and observability across networking infrastructure
- Perform vulnerability assessments and infrastructure hardening
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis
- Produce architecture documentation and operational standards
- Mentor junior engineers
Preferred Experience
Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:
- Network architectures supporting sensitive operational environments Operational security (OPSEC) and secure communications
- Traffic engineering and policy-based routing
- Proxy and relay infrastructure

Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- 5+ years of enterprise network engineering experience
- Strong routing and switching knowledge
- Experience with enterprise firewalls
- Experience with TCP/IP networking fundamentals
- Experience with VPN technologies
- Experience troubleshooting production networks
- Experience with Linux systems
- Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills

Compensation
We believe in paying fairly and competitively based on the value each team member brings to the role. Individual compensation is determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, location, and market data. The anticipated salary range for this position is $119,047 - 158,393 annually.
