About The Role:
As a Network Security Engineer, you’ll help build, maintain, and improve the network environment that keeps our business connected and running smoothly. In this role, you’ll bring technical expertise to networking across both cloud and on-premises environments, supporting everything from wired and wireless infrastructure to routers, switches, security, and overall network performance. If you enjoy solving complex problems, keeping systems reliable, and partnering with others to build smart, scalable solutions, this could be a great fit.
Here’s a snapshot of what you’d be doing:
Create and maintain documentation for systems, network configurations, policies, and procedures in a centralized repository for easy reference.
Work with Systems Architects and other engineers to improve network design and apply best practices for scalability and reliability.
Perform upgrades and routine maintenance while following industry best practices and minimizing downtime.
Support other Technology teams through cross-training and administrative tools.
Partner with Systems Administrators to help ensure support tickets are completed in a timely manner.
Work with cross-functional teams to maintain a secure, efficient, and reliable IT environment.
Design, configure, and maintain wired and wireless network infrastructure with a focus on high availability and performance.
Troubleshoot network performance issues using tools like Wireshark.
Implement network security best practices, including VLAN segmentation and access control lists (ACLs).
Manage and optimize networking across cloud and on-premises environments.
Support network environments and technologies related to authentication, switching, routing, wireless, SD-WAN, IP management, packet shaping, and power management.
Lead network capacity planning and performance optimization to support business growth.

You can troubleshoot issues throughout the OSI model.

You’re available to work outside normal business hours and/or on weekends when needed.
