Job Summary
We are seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to bridge software development and operations responsibilities, with a strong focus on CI/CD, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), observability, production readiness, incident management, and software engineering. The role will be responsible for improving software delivery speed, quality, reliability, and operational efficiency across production environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Jenkins, CI/CD pipeline development, observability practices, on-call production support, incident management, and the ability to read and troubleshoot application code.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery.
• Administer and enhance Jenkins-based build and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to automate testing, deployment, and release activities.
• Drive continuous improvements to software delivery speed, quality, and reliability.
• Implement and maintain observability solutions including monitoring, alerting, logging, and dashboards.
• Define and improve service level objectives (SLOs), service level indicators (SLIs), and operational metrics.
• Support system reliability, availability, and performance across production environments.
• Participate in operational reviews and identify opportunities for resiliency improvements.
• Assess application and infrastructure readiness for production deployment.
• Develop operational runbooks, playbooks, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotations and support critical production systems.
• Drive initiatives to reduce operational burden through automation and tooling.
• Respond to and coordinate resolution of production incidents.
• Support Technology Operations Center (TOC) and major incident management processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis and lead post-incident reviews.
• Identify corrective and preventative actions to improve system stability.
• Collaborate with software engineers to improve application reliability and operational effectiveness.
• Troubleshoot issues across the application stack.
• Contribute code, automation scripts, and engineering solutions where appropriate.
• Utilize modern IDEs and development tools to support troubleshooting and software delivery efforts.

Required Qualifications
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline development and automation.
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins.
• Knowledge of SRE principles, system reliability, and observability practices.
• Experience supporting on-call production environments.
• Understanding of incident management processes and operational support models.
• Software engineering experience with the ability to read, understand, and troubleshoot application code.
• Familiarity with modern development tools and IDEs.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to support production readiness, incident response, and operational improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk, New Relic, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar solutions.
• Experience automating infrastructure and operational processes.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience supporting highly available, large-scale enterprise applications.
