Network Engineer with strong background in service provider communication networks to work in a hands-on environment. The Network Engineer will be responsible for the stability and integrity of network services. This is achieved by planning, designing, and developing local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across the organization. In addition, the Network Engineer will participate in requirement gathering and the design, installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links.
RESPONSIBILTIES:- Must have ISP Experience.
- Working knowledge of communication and routing protocols, IPv6 and MPLS preferred, BGP, OSPF, ERPS a plus.
- Must have layer 3 routing experience and protocols
- Knowledge and experience with service provider fiber and fixed wireless technologies preferred.
- Must have knowledge and experience with TCP/IP networking
- Working knowledge of a network server infrastructure
- Excellent problem-solving, decision making and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users.
- Previous experience working independently; prioritizing and planning work.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment while effectively managing multiple projects and priorities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio-including advanced diagram design)
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
- Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Work with vendors product relationships (Juniper, Ciena, Calix).

REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's Degree (BS) and/or Master's degree (MS) in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
- A minimum of three-to-five (3-5) years of relevant experience
- Experience working with an ISP (Internet Service Provider)
- Experience working with Callix.
- Experience setting up a NOC.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative problem- solving skills.
- Travel to remote offices for implementation and support of technology (10%)
