ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TS/SCI POLYGRAPH LEVEL IS REQUIRED
We are seeking a proactive, battle-tested Network & Infrastructure Engineer to lead the configuration, sustainment, and compliance of mission-critical communication architectures. In this operational role, you will be hands-on with enterprise-grade network hardware, driving heavy configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting across Cisco and Arista environments. Operating within high-assurance defense networks, you will leverage specialized toolsets like Latte'Art and strictly adhere to STE/STN standards and System Security Plan (SSP) compliance requirements. This critical role ensures maximum uptime for 24/7 operational systems, requiring a dedicated engineer who is ready to support on-call rotation and travel as required to keep our defense infrastructure secure and resilient.
The annual base salary range for this role is $144,000-$171,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
Required Skills
Cisco & Arista Configuration Mastery: Deep hands-on experience designing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Cisco and Arista enterprise routing and switching infrastructure.
Specialized Network Management Tooling: Operational familiarity with specialized network administration and configuration tools, including Latte'Art.
STE/STN & Security Compliance: Proven experience implementing and maintaining STE/STN standards and System Security Plan (SSP) compliance requirements for network hardware.
Infrastructure Sustainment & Troubleshooting: Demonstrated ability to perform hardware lifecycle maintenance, firmware upgrades, and rapid root-cause isolation on operational networks.
Operational Readiness: Ability and willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for critical operational systems and execute travel as needed for deployment or mission support.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline, PLUS 8+ years of professional experience in data science, analytics, or technical analysis OR Master's Degree in a related field, PLUS 6+ years of professional experience OR High School Diploma / GED, PLUS 10+ years of relevant hands-on technical experience in lieu of a degree.
Desired Skills
Professional Certifications: Industry-standard network or security certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, Arista Certified Engineering Associate (ACE), or DoD 8570 IAT Level II/III (CompTIA Security+, CISSP).
Automated Network Provisioning: Experience leveraging network automation tools and scripts (Python, Ansible) for bulk device configuration and compliance auditing.
High-Availability Network Design: Experience with redundancy protocols, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and network virtualization techniques across secure environments.
