Full Job Description
In this role, you will be supporting the design of Navy networks. Specific tasks include the development of network topologies and templates from system requirements, development of network templates and IP plans, and development of test plans and documentation. Configuration and documentation of SDWAN solutions. About the role: In this role, you will coordinate all cybersecurity activities to support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) Package documentation planning and development for all OCF platforms. Responsibilities: • Prepare, develop, and maintain Risk Management Framework (RMF) artifacts, packages, and deliverables to support system validation and authorization to operate (ATO) • Perform risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas • Coordinate day-to-day cybersecurity operations with program technical leads to discover cyber risks, understand applicable policies, and develop mitigation plans • Maintain RMF documents for system baseline variants that have achieved ATO • Work independently, identify problems and devise analyses and solutions, communicate results to both technical and non-technical audiences, and lead the accomplishments of client tasks from inception to completion Required Skills and Experience: • Minimum of six (6) years' experience supporting the engineering of Information Technology systems for a DoD or Government Agency and the specific LCAT requirements the candidate is proposed under. • 3+ years of experience developing technical documentation • Proven track record of performance in client-facing roles that require engagement and relationship building with stakeholders across Navy programs, the DoD, or other federal agencies • Experience with SDN/ SD-WAN Technologies and vendors, including VMware, NSX-T, Cisco, Juniper, and open-source solutions • Experience with network configuration for L2/L3 switches, routers, security appliances (firewalls, NIDS, NIPS, etc) • Experience developing and documenting network topologies • Experience in troubleshooting and restoring network and system outages • Experience in virtualization technologies • CCNP (or equivalent) certification Preferred Skills and Experience: • Experience with RF communications, specifically MILSATCOM or COMSATCOM technologies. • Experience leveraging NetDevOps or DevSecOps to scale enterprise-level engineering projects. • Experience with Network Automation in Python, Ansible, NETCONF, and/or RESTCONF • Experience modeling network configuration in JSON, YAML, or Jinja • Experience developing and maturing complex, collaborative networking projects and working autonomously to move network development forward Education and Certification Requirements: • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physical Science required. Citizenship and Clearance requirements: • U.S. Citizenship required • No dual citizenship • Active Secret clearance required • TS/SCI clearance preferred Location/Address: • Hybrid position - San Diego, California • Periodic onsite support at Government facilities in the San Diego area as required by the customer. Travel & Passport: • Occasional OCONUS travel for installation, integration, and testing • Valid US passport required Work Environment: PMAT offices as needed. In some cases, work in a government facility may be required. Travel may be required for customer engagement, team coordination, and potentially for business development.
