Network Engineer -HAIPE

Overview

The Network Engineer - HAIPE provides installation, operation, and maintenance of secure tactical communications systems in a lab environment. This role supports voice, data, and video networks utilizing Type 1 encryption (HAIPE) to ensure secure, reliable communications in compliance with DoW and mission requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, operate, and maintain secure IP-based communication systems supporting LAN/WAN and tactical networks
  • Support the integration and operation of HAIPE-compliant encryption devices within network architectures
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity, encryption, and interoperability issues across voice, data, and video systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Signal Support Systems Specialist 25U, (or equivalent military role)
  • Experience working in secure or classified network environments
  • Exposure to COMSEC procedures and controlled cryptographic equipment
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, Network+)


Clearance:

  • Must have a current DoW Security Clearance.


Education & Experience:

  • 2-7 years relevant work experience.


Location:

  • Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland.
  • Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. On-site schedule flexing is available with the PM's approval.
