Job Announcement Maintains network environment by responding to service calls and installing, configuring, and supporting LAN servers, virtual and physical, and networked PCs. Performs network administration, such as daily maintenance of servers, backup/recovery of user data and server system, and troubleshooting problems that arise regarding communication to the file server. Provides first-line problem diagnosis and troubleshooting for complex network or data communications.
Provides help desk problem resolution assistance; provides system organization, system documentation and training.
Performs related work as required. Manages users accounts, security groups, and has a working knowledge of Active Directory. Provides quotes for hardware or software upon request and manages purchases of new hardware and software. Provides leadership and supervision to the hardware management team. Seeks consultation and maintaining relationships with the Department of Information Technology. Provides project management and asset management skills and oversight. Works under general supervision.

Oversees network/telecommunications projects related to new construction, agency relocations, and similar actions;

Possession of an associate degree in computer science, electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field; plus three years of network and/or telecommunications experience; or a bachelor's degree in such fields; plus one year of experience in network or telecommunications system design, analysis, installation, and troubleshooting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Law enforcement experience or experience working for a law enforcement agency.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:- Ability to drive a personal or county vehicle to complete daily work assignments and travel between various station locations.
