The role requires rapid identification, triage, and escalation of incidents to ensure high availability and compliance with CJIS security and operational requirements.

The SNOC operates 24/7 and supports the CJIS campus through a large, collaborative operations team. Team members follow a modified Agile SAFe methodology to manage operational workflows, incident response, and continuous service improvement. • Create and review network blueprints, including LANs, WANs, and cloud networks, including scalability, performance, and security requirements.
  • Assess new network hardware and software technologies, provide recommendations for upgrades or replacements based on emerging trends and business needs.
  • Identify and resolve network performance issues, analyzing network traffic patterns, and optimizing network configurations for optimal efficiency.
  • Identify potential network vulnerabilities, implementing security protocols, and advising on security best practices to protect sensitive data.
  • Forecast future network bandwidth needs and identify infrastructure upgrades to accommodate growing demands.
  • Act as a go-to person for complex network issues, provide technical guidance/training to other IT staff.
  • Monitor network implementation projects, including configuration, installation, and testing of new network components.
  • Developing network documentation and training materials for other team members.
