Overviewi3 is seeking a Network Administrator. The successful candidate should have a thorough knowledge of network architecture, design, implementation, and support. The candidate must be capable of working in both a team environment on enterprise projects and be capable of working independently to resolve technical issues. Knowledge of tactical networks and communication systems is beneficial.
Responsibilities- Install, configure and maintain LAN and WAN system hardware (switches, routers, firewalls, etc.) using primarily Cisco hardware.
- Design, maintain and document network solutions.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols.
- Secure networks by developing network access controls and policies that align with DISA STIGs.
- Ensure system security in compliance with Department of War and customer policies.
- Understand network security devices and their output.
- Ensure reliable backup and recovery from circuit and hardware outages.
- Provides network performance statistics, reports and recommendations for network enhancements.
- Apply firmware and software patches as required for hardware.
- Perform other hardware and software tasks as assigned.
- Implement and understand Software Defined Networking (SDN) architectures.
Qualifications- BS degree in related discipline preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years experience with network architecture, design, implementation, and support.
- Must have Security+ certification or equivalent.
- Experience with Cisco IOS installation, maintenance and STIG management as required for switching, routing and firewall environments at advance configuration and troubleshooting skill levels.
- Must be familiar with enterprise and/or data center protocols such as Routing (BGP, OSPF), Layer 2 (STP, EtherChannel), and Layer 3 (SVI, VXLAN).
- Experience with configuring and maintaining Cisco ISE, FMS, and ACI desired.
- Experience implementing and maintaining DoD networks in a multi-vendor environment.
- Experience working with system/network vulnerability scanning tools required.
- Able to work in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Cisco DNA Center experience desired.
- Active Secret security clearance required.

- Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
