Overview

i3 is seeking a Network Administrator. The successful candidate should have a thorough knowledge of network architecture, design, implementation, and support. The candidate must be capable of working in both a team environment on enterprise projects and be capable of working independently to resolve technical issues. Knowledge of tactical networks and communication systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure and maintain LAN and WAN system hardware (switches, routers, firewalls, etc.) using primarily Cisco hardware.
  • Design, maintain and document network solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols.
  • Secure networks by developing network access controls and policies that align with DISA STIGs.
  • Ensure system security in compliance with Department of War and customer policies.
  • Understand network security devices and their output.
  • Ensure reliable backup and recovery from circuit and hardware outages.
  • Provides network performance statistics, reports and recommendations for network enhancements.
  • Apply firmware and software patches as required for hardware.
  • Perform other hardware and software tasks as assigned.
  • Implement and understand Software Defined Networking (SDN) architectures.


Qualifications

  • Must be familiar with enterprise and/or data center protocols such as Routing (BGP, OSPF), Layer 2 (STP, EtherChannel), and Layer 3 (SVI, VXLAN).
  • Experience with configuring and maintaining Cisco ISE, FMS, and ACI desired.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining DoD networks in a multi-vendor environment.
  • Experience working with system/network vulnerability scanning tools required.
  • Able to work in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Cisco DNA Center experience desired.
  • Active Secret security clearance required.
