About the Role:The Network Administrator will be responsible for all aspects of network \ system administration, including on-premises and cloud-based server infrastructure, network management and monitoring, desktop and laptop computer support, switching systems, firewall systems, wireless infrastructure, unified communications system, and other building technologies as required. This role involves managing network hardware and software, including routers, firewalls, and servers, to support seamless communication and data exchange across the enterprise. The Network Administrator will proactively monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement upgrades to prevent downtime and enhance system reliability. Collaboration with IT teams and end-users is essential to understand network requirements and deliver effective solutions that align with business objectives. Ultimately, this position ensures the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of network resources to support the organization's operational needs.
Essential Functions:- Provide exceptional technical support services for operations and well as residents throughout a series of four senior living communities utilizing converged networks.
- Administer, manage, monitor, maintain and upgrade production server infrastructure, SAN, data systems, hosts and virtual machines running various version Windows server operating systems.
- Manage, monitor, maintain the Microsoft 365 system platform in production.
- Administer, manage, monitor, maintain and upgrade production Cisco Meraki and Cisco Enterprise wired and wireless networks.
- Administer, manage, monitor, maintain and upgrade Cisco Meraki firewall systems and VPN system.
- Administer, manage, monitor, maintain VCenter and virtual machines as well as Hyper-V environment.
- Perform adds, moves and changes to Cisco Unified Communications and Unity Connections and related systems as needed.
- Support all forms of hardware and applications in the Enterprise.
- Perform regular server administration tasks including updates, backups, and performance tuning to maintain system health.
- Troubleshoot network issues promptly and coordinate with vendors or internal teams to resolve complex problems.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and changes to maintain accurate records and support compliance requirements.
- Implement and enforce network security policies to protect against unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, and cyber threats.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance network performance and security.
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing virtualized Windows server environments
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing Cisco networking environments; both enterprise and Meraki-based networks
- Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) Certification
- Cisco Certified Network Associate Preferred
- Microsoft 365 Certification Preferred
- Experience with network security principles and firewall management.
- Ability to configure and manage remote access technologies securely.
Preferred Qualifications:- Certifications such as Cisco CCNA, OR CCNP
- Familiarity with advanced network monitoring and management tools.
- Prior experience working in a large enterprise or multi-site environment.
