ResponsibilitiesThe RCP III- Neonatal Respiratory Care Practitioner performs acute clinical care to the neonate / newborn including a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, common sense and initiative to apply prescribed procedures, treatments and testing to the newborn and pediatric patient in a safe and professional manner. The Neonatal RCP assumes responsibility for delivering all respiratory care in the Perinatal area (NICU, Nursery, Labor and Delivery and ER) as required.
QualificationsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING- Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
- Currently Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty (NPS) credential from the NRBC.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) upon hire and maintain current.
- Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the AHA or ARC certification upon hire and maintain current.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the AHA certification upon hire and maintain current.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certificate from the AHA certification upon hire and maintain current.
- Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
- Two (2) years of neonatal clinical experience preferred, proving neonatal respiratory care in an autonomous/expanded role in a level II or level III NICU

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
