Job Summary

The NBA Business Analyst will work closely with Bright Horizons business stakeholders, product owners, solution architects, data teams, FICO Blaze rule specialists, Azure engineering teams, QA, and downstream channel teams to define, analyze, document, and validate business requirements for the Next Best Action / Next Best Offer MVP implementation. The role will support the translation of business objectives into actionable decisioning requirements, rule logic, data needs, KPI baselines, UAT scenarios, and acceptance criteria required to deliver the MVP within the planned timeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Bright Horizons business stakeholders to gather, refine, and document requirements for the NBA MVP use case focused on identifying Back-Up Care users with potential to transition into Full-Service Care customers.
  • Facilitate requirement workshops, rule review sessions, playback discussions, and sign-off meetings with business, data, architecture, and technology stakeholders.
  • Translate business objectives into business requirement documents, functional requirement documents, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and decisioning requirements.
  • Support the definition of NBA decision strategies, eligibility rules, prioritization logic, suppression rules, trigger conditions, channel activation requirements, and response handling expectations.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and data engineering teams to identify required customer, behavioral, transactional, consent, preference, and eligibility data elements for the MVP.
  • Validate data availability, data quality assumptions, source-to-target mapping, API input/output needs, and business interpretation of data attributes used by the decisioning engine.
  • Work with FICO Blaze and Azure teams to review rule inputs, decision responses, API contracts, event triggers, and downstream integration needs for channels such as myBH, MBD, BUC Mobile, and related activation touchpoints.
  • Define KPI baselines, measurement approach, control considerations, and success criteria for the MVP, including conversion, engagement, adoption, and business outcome metrics.
  • Prepare and maintain UAT scenarios, test cases, persona-based validation scenarios, rule validation matrices, defect triage notes, and business sign-off documentation.
  • Support sprint ceremonies, backlog grooming, requirement clarifications, demo preparation, release readiness activities, and stakeholder communications throughout the MVP lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of Business Analyst experience, preferably in customer engagement, personalization, decisioning, marketing technology, CRM, digital experience, or data-driven transformation programs.
  • Strong understanding of Next Best Action / Next Best Offer concepts, customer lifecycle engagement, personalization, segmentation, decision rules, eligibility criteria, prioritization, and channel orchestration.
  • Experience working with business rules engines or decision management platforms such as FICO Blaze, Pega Customer Decision Hub, or similar decisioning tools is preferred.
  • Ability to understand rule logic, decision flows, data variables, API request/response structures, and XML/JSON-based payloads at a business-analysis level.
  • Working knowledge of Agile delivery, user story management, Jira/Azure DevOps, sprint planning, demos, backlog refinement, and UAT coordination.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, validate business assumptions, define KPIs, and collaborate with data teams on data readiness and quality questions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear, structured, stakeholder-ready documentation and facilitate discussions across business and technology groups.
