Serves as a key member of the multidisciplinary care team and acts as a central point of contact for referring providers, patients, and caregivers for those newly diagnosed with breast cancer. The Breast Cancer Nurse Navigator provides comprehensive coordination of care from diagnosis to start of treatment, offering guidance, advocacy, and support throughout the patient's journey. This role delivers clinical expertise, education, and emotional support to patients and their families, while connecting them with appropriate resources and services. The navigator collaborates closely with providers to ensure seamless communication, timely referrals, and effective care planning during the initial phase after diagnosis.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing degree (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing required, or equivalent educ/experience
  • Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • 3 years of experience in Oncology, Breast Care and health care delivery. Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Upon hire: Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) and/or comparable breast certification

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
