Full Job Description
Ready to elevate your career? GFL is expanding! We are hunting for our next National Talent Acquisition Business Partner based out of our Vaughan office-a strategic, highly adaptable recruiter who thrives on solving tough hiring challenges and supporting our operations country-wide.

The Role

In this dynamic role, you won't be tied to just one market. Instead, you will serve as our internal TA "strike team," stepping in country-wide to support various districts on their hardest-to-fill roles.

From headhunting skilled trades (like mechanics) to sourcing leadership and management talent, you will partner closely with local Operations Managers and District Directors across Canada to diagnose hiring pain points. You understand that recruitment directly drives operations, and you possess the relationship-building skills to quickly earn trust with diverse teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Agile Full-Cycle Recruitment: Lead end-to-end recruitment across different Canadian regions, shifting focus rapidly based on the business's highest-priority vacancies.
  • Strategic Headhunting: Proactively source a diverse portfolio of roles, from frontline skilled trades (mechanics, drivers) to high-level regional management positions.
  • Hiring Manager Partnership: Act as a consultative advisor to district leadership, quickly identifying local hiring pain points and building trust remotely.
  • Operational Alignment: Connect talent acquisition strategy directly to daily operational needs, ensuring local management feels fully supported.
  • Pipeline & Brand Building: Utilize advanced sourcing tools and networks to build sustainable talent pipelines for niche, critical roles across the country.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Maintain ATS integrity (Workday) and utilize market intelligence to advise leadership on regional hiring trends.

What We're Looking For
  • Location: Based out of our Vaughan office, with the ability to manage recruitment across multiple Canadian time zones.
  • Experience: 5+ years of full-life-cycle recruitment experience, with a proven track record of headhunting both skilled trades and management roles.
  • Adaptability: A natural relationship-builder who thrives in a floating capacity and easily adapts to various regional dynamics.
  • Industry Savvy: Experience in industrial, logistics, blue-collar, or waste management sectors where recruitment directly impacts operational success.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency with modern ATS platforms (Workday preferred) and LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness to support regional teams remotely, with occasional travel as required.

What We Offer
  • Health: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Wellness: Employee Assistance Program, life insurance, and paid time-off.
  • Financial: RRSP matching, profit sharing, and competitive wages.
  • Culture: Growth opportunities, continuous learning, and national-scale impact.
