Job Title: National Sales Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Department: Sales

Reports to: Senior Vice President, Business Development

Pay: $80,000- $95,000 Plus Commissions

Brief Summary of Position:

The National Sales Manager plays a key role in driving growth across Maury Microwave's broad customer base throughout the United States and Canada. This position is responsible for developing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and expanding Maury's presence across accounts not directly managed by Directors of Strategic Accounts.

Success will be measured by achieving bookings targets by month, quarter, and year, by product line and region, while building strong customer relationships that support long-term growth and customer satisfaction.

This role requires a proactive, highly organized, and self-motivated sales professional who combines disciplined execution, customer engagement, and cross-functional collaboration to maximize business opportunities across a diverse customer base. Success in this position requires adaptability, sound judgment, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and shifting business demands in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions of the Position

1. Customer and Business Development

Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers across the assigned customer base.
  • Identify key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers within customer organizations.
  • Collaborate with manufacturer's sales representatives and internal teams to identify new opportunities and expand Maury's footprint.
  • Develop and execute growth strategies designed to increase Maury product and software adoption across existing and new customers.
  • Maintain awareness of customer activities, market trends, and competitive dynamics.

2. Sales Execution
  • Achieve assigned bookings targets by month, quarter, and year across all product lines and service offerings.
  • Identify, qualify, and close opportunities through consistent customer engagement, presentations, demonstrations, and proposal development.
  • Leverage CRM tools to manage pipeline accuracy, forecast bookings, and track activity against goals.
  • Ensure Maury solutions are positioned as preferred choices within customer technical ecosystems and procurement channels.
  • Support customer requests and coordinate internally to ensure timely follow-up and resolution.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Application Engineers (AEs) to deliver tailored technical and commercial solutions.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams on customer needs, competitive positioning, and emerging trends to inform future roadmap and strategy.

4. Performance and Continuous Improvement
  • Track progress through quantitative metrics (bookings, opportunities, conversion rates) and qualitative KPIs (customer engagement, pipeline activity, strategy execution).
  • Regularly review and adjust account action plans to ensure alignment with business objectives and evolving customer requirements.
  • Maintain an ongoing rhythm of communication with customers to anticipate needs, address concerns, and reinforce Maury's value proposition.
  • Contribute to team knowledge-sharing in account management best practices.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual bookings targets by product line.
  • Accuracy of sales forecasts and pipeline reporting, measured by consistency between forecasted and actual bookings, and maintained within acceptable variance thresholds.
  • Growth of business across assigned customers and opportunities.
  • Development and execution of measurable account strategies and action plans.
  • Effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and external representatives.
  • Accuracy and completeness of CRM data, forecasts, and account reporting.


Requirements (education, prior work experience, special skills, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience in technical sales, account management, or business development within the RF, microwave, or test & measurement industries.
  • Proven ability to develop customer relationships and grow business opportunities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of customer organizations.
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and disciplined sales pipeline management.
  • Familiarity with Maury's core product lines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across functions and geographies.
  • Self-motivated and capable of operating independently, taking full ownership of the sales process from concept through execution and measurable results.

Travel Requirements
  • This position requires domestic travel approximately 25% to 50% of the time, depending on customer and business needs.
