Full Job Description
As the National Retail Account Manager you will be responsible for growing Home Center and Co-op sales in the MI/IL/WI/MN/NE/IA territory. You will coordinate with and contribute to the overall branch and company efforts to profitably grow our business. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining positive relationships with customers, executing on National Retail customer-specific projects, and completing objectives as directed by the National and Regional teams. You will also lead and participate in training sessions in and out of the territory. These training sessions require scheduling, promotion, set-up, presentation, and take-down, as well as providing observation and suggestions for improvement. You will work with Regional Sales Managers, Product Management, Marketing, and TSRs to develop/coordinate sales strategies and programs; and communicate appropriate market trends and field intelligence to provide to Management and Operations to ensure customer satisfaction.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (% of Time)

Build and maintain relationships at store and regional levels with all parties affecting our business, including customer and service channels, while managing Home Center customers. Service, maintain, and execute store sets, displays, merchandising initiatives, and planograms to maximize product visibility and sales performance. Prepare and present store and regional-level POS activity to key decision makers. (25%)

Create and coordinate National Retail programs/projects focused on increasing the sales and profitability of the territory. Track and analyze POS numbers to determine program/project effectiveness and make needed adjustments to maximize sales. (20%)

Directly lead and develop two Retail Sales Representatives (RSRs) through coaching, ride-alongs, performance management, development planning, and regular communication. Foster accountability, growth, and execution consistency across assigned territories. (20%)

Demonstrate product installation procedures. Schedule, coordinate, prepare and present insightful and educational presentations and workshops. (10%)

Communicate with appropriate regional personnel about Home Center needs. Resolve customer concerns or issues with the assistance of other departments as needed. (10%)

Partner with territory sales team members to provide high quality "No-Equal" service and support to customers. Keep up to date with local building codes, requirements, common practices, and become your customers' trusted advisor and product knowledge expert. (10%)

Other duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to, consistent CRM management and usage, scheduling, business planning, submitting expense reports in a timely manner, regular maintenance of company-owned vehicles, and other duties as assigned. (5%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of Related experience in retail construction sales and/or training. National Accounts experience and/or business or marketing experience preferred.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

This position requires domestic and international travel up to 40% of the time.

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This full-time, exempt position is located in Chicago/Detroit areas.

Relocation is not available for this position.

PAY

$75,200 - $107,500 / year

This job operates in both a professional office environment, customer sites and outdoor construction job sites. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers/scanners, etc. The employee occasionally works around moving mechanical parts. Noise level may be loud at times.
