The OpportunityThe National Key Account Manager is accountable for driving profitable growth across designated national retail accounts within the DRFC portfolio.
This role owns national customer strategy, leads commercial negotiations, manages trade investment, and influences cross-functional execution to deliver sustained revenue and margin performance.
Success in this role is measured through top-line growth, margin optimization, trade efficiency, customer relationship strength, and disciplined execution against financial targets.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategic national account plans aligned with internal financial objectives and external marketplace dynamics
- Drive revenue, margin, and market share growth across assigned national accounts
- Lead customer negotiations, pricing strategies, and promotional planning
- Manage trade investment budgets, including forecasting, planning, and disciplined spending
- Analyze performance metrics and provide commercial updates to senior leadership
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure aligned execution
- Identify new business opportunities informed by customer insights, market trends, and competitive activity
- Deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and annual business reviews
- Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships with national account stakeholders
What You Bring- 5-8 years of progressive national account management experience within the CPG industry
- Proven track record of delivering profitable sales growth across national retail accounts
- Strong negotiation capability with advanced influencing and persuasion skills
- Financial acumen with experience managing trade budgets and forecasting revenue performance
- Sound understanding of retail execution, logistics, and order management processes
- Strategic thinking supported by data analysis and performance metrics
- Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related discipline
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
- A genuine passion for the food and consumer packaged goods industry
