Responsibilities

  • Provide training and support for Electronic Health Record (EHR) users and address complex issues.
  • Act as the liaison with EHR software vendors and report AR strategies to senior management.

This position, based from our corporate headquarters in Villanova, PA,  is responsible for monitoring Revenue and AR activities across the $600 million Organization and directly oversees a centralized billing office that supports Devereux's PA, NJ and certain other states. We offer:

Duties include and are not limited to:

  • Identify trends and problem areas and initiate support to local personnel as necessary to effect improvements in accounts receivable management and collection results.
  • Develop best practices that strengthens Devereux's position in the marketplace.
  • Create A/R systems and communications plans to build strong relationships with funding agencies and other payors that foster a strong business relationship.
  • Works with Devereux Executive Directors and Corporate Leadership to develop and continuously update an organization-wide strategic plan for A/R.
  • Collaborates with Information Resources, Operations and Revenue personnel to address technology issues specifically related to contracting, billing and AR management.
  • Provides user support, analysis, maintenance, training and resolution of challenging issues faced by Electronic Health Record (EHR) users.
  • Serves as the Devereux liaison with the EHR software vendors.
  • Reports AR results and strategies to senior management.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Health Care Administration. MBA or CPA desired but not mandatory.
  • Minimum of 10 years of practical and progressive experience in finance, with 5 years’ experience supervising accounts receivable management activities preferably in a multi-state health care, educational, or large social service agency setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, including experience in formulating policies and procedures; and making presentations to senior management.
