Under general supervision of the Director - Sales, the National Customer Business Manager (NCBM) is responsible for managing the sale of company products, development of markets, customer relationships and broker management for assigned ADUSA retailer which includes Stop & Shop, Giant Foods, The Giant Company, Hannaford and Food Lion. As a key member of the CP sales team, the National Customer Business Manager manages the sales objectives and profitability with the location of this position to be residing in the East Coast customer geography or responsibilities. (Preferred Boston to Charlotte area, within acceptable proximity of a major US airport and within reasonable driving distance of one of the 5 Brand HQs of ADUSA.)

What You Do.- Responsible for achieving dollar volume, profitability, P&L contribution and related financial performance objectives for assigned market or account base.
- Responsible for achieving account share growth goals for assigned market or account base.
- Make appropriate headquarter calls to identify new business opportunities, establish new customer relationships and deepen existing customer relationships to support achievement of short and long term corporate strategies and objectives.
- Responsible for achieving account penetration goals for assigned market or account base.
- Does planning, forecasting, analysis and modification of plans necessary to achieve annual business objectives, and ensure sell-in and accurate execution of innovation and growth objectives.
- Supports corporate planning, analysis and budgetary process to achieve short and long term business objectives. Develops 1 - 3 year sales plan for market or account base to support corporate planning and budgeting process.
- Develops and implements strategic merchandising plans and activities to support achievement of annual objectives and maintain Sargento's merchandising Standards of Excellence.
- Manages broker relationships with business or account managers, team leaders, general managers and broker support teams necessary to achieve corporate objectives.
- Develops and maintains effective advanced internal and external cross-functional relationships necessary to achieve business objectives in a manner consistent with Sargento's culture.
- Plans and executes appropriate programs including trade management and financial accountability within budget objectives and system standards.
- Strong negotiation skills that demonstrate the ability to move from conflict to resolution along with demonstration of resiliency to strategically penetrate all decision-making levels across the retailers of responsibility.
- Continuously reviews market and account base to identify market or customer opportunities, competitive threats or opportunities for new or different ways of doing business to meet customer needs and help achieve corporate objectives. Shares market trends and opportunities so that appropriate corporate resources can be allocated to meet business needs or opportunities.
- Overnight Travel requirements ~25-30%

Your Education and Experience.- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
- 5+ years consumer products experience required.
- Customer headquarter sales experience required
- Broker management experience preferred.
- Experience calling ADUSA strongly preferred.
- Advanced experience in using syndicated data and/or proprietary customer data to drive strategic recommendations and annual business planning.
- Advanced experience in partnership with Demand & Supply planning to ensure forecast accuracy and avoid supply disruption.
- Ability to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills with persons or groups at varying positions or knowledge.
- Demonstrate strong time management skills along with the ability to manage overlapping and even conflicting priorities.
- Possess the potential to progress to Team Leader or similar level position.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
