NeoGenomics is looking for a National Account Director who wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow.

Position Summary

The National Account Director is responsible for developing and executing strategic partnerships within key health systems, community oncology networks, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), and government healthcare organizations, including the VA and DoD. This role leads enterprise-level account strategy to drive adoption, expansion, and long-term utilization of NeoGenomics' comprehensive portfolio across surgery, pathology, and oncology service lines.

Serving as the primary executive liaison, the National Account Director cultivates and manages relationships with C-suite leaders within NeoGenomics' most strategic national accounts. The position is accountable for identifying growth opportunities, advancing enterprise initiatives, and aligning customer objectives with NeoGenomics' diagnostic and precision medicine solutions.

This role operates as a strategic business leader and cross-functional partner, translating organizational priorities into actionable account plans that deliver measurable business outcomes. Through disciplined execution, data-driven decision-making, and effective project leadership, the National Account Director coordinates internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful implementation, expansion, and sustainability of key partnerships.

While the role does not have direct people-management responsibilities, it provides influential leadership across Regional Business Directors, field teams, and internal functions, serving as a catalyst for regional performance and enterprise growth.

Core Responsibilities
  • Develop, execute, and continuously refine enterprise account strategies that align organizational resources and priorities across Sales, Medical Affairs, Digital Health, Reimbursement, Operations, Marketing, and other key functions to achieve business objectives
  • Establish and maintain trusted executive-level relationships within assigned National Accounts, serving as the primary strategic liaison to C-suite leaders, cancer center directors, laboratory executives, health system administrators, and other key decision makers
  • Identify, influence, and advance opportunities to integrate NeoGenomics' comprehensive portfolio into clinical pathways, institutional standards of care, treatment protocols, and enterprise-wide initiatives
  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with customer stakeholders and internal leadership to evaluate account performance, utilization trends, operational outcomes, strategic priorities, and future growth opportunities
  • Assess account landscapes to identify expansion opportunities, adoption barriers, access challenges, workflow inefficiencies, and performance gaps, developing actionable plans to drive account growth and customer success
  • Partner strategically with Regional Business Directors to align enterprise objectives with regional business plans, customer priorities, and field execution activities
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and consultative guidance to Oncology Sales Specialists, Territory Business Managers, and other field-based colleagues, fostering collaboration, accountability, and customer-centric execution without direct reporting authority
  • Serve as the executive sponsor and project lead for complex strategic initiatives, including enterprise account onboarding, innovative partnership development, workflow optimization projects, EMR integrations, and other partnership enhancement initiatives
  • Influence and coordinate cross-functional teams across Operations, Client Services, Laboratory Services, Medical Affairs, Digital Health/IT, Marketing, and other departments to ensure successful implementation and sustained performance of enterprise account strategies
  • Communicate account insights, business trends, competitive intelligence, and performance metrics to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making and continuous refinement of commercial strategies
  • Act as the senior escalation point for National Accounts, demonstrating sound judgment, executive presence, and problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues and strengthen customer confidence
  • Champion a culture of accountability, innovation, and customer focus by driving alignment among diverse stakeholders and leading through influence in a highly matrixed environment
  • Represent NeoGenomics as a strategic precision medicine partner at the highest levels of customer leadership, fostering long-term relationships that support mutual growth, innovation, and improved patient outcomes

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree required, advanced degree preferred (MBA, MHA or related)
  • 8+ years of experience in diagnostics, biopharma, medical devices, or healthcare commercial roles, with a focus on National Accounts and/or Strategic Partnerships with IDNs and Community Oncology Networks
  • Demonstrated success managing large customer segments with a track record of delivering growth, achieving strategic objectives, and overcoming barriers to execution in Community Oncology, IDNs and/or government sectors
  • Existing relationships with National Oncology Networks, IDNs, VA/DoD is of significant benefit
  • Experience and established credibility engaging senior healthcare executives and influencing high-level decision making
  • Strong understanding of oncology diagnostics (molecular, NGS, biomarker testing) and the evolving oncology care delivery landscape
  • Ability to lead organizational and customer change initiatives while navigating complexity and ambiguity
  • Proven ability at building executive relationships while simultaneously driving ground-level execution in complex/matrixed account environments
  • High aptitude to evaluate complex situations, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
  • Skilled in negotiation, influencing without authority, cross functional collaboration and enterprise account planning that holds self and others accountable for commitments and outcomes

Travel: up to 50% nationally

Pay Range (will vary based on location & experience) $184,000 - $276,000

In all instances, the salary paid will satisfy minimum salary laws.
