Qualifications

• BSc in Microbiology, Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in a laboratory or micro-chemistry environment.
• Experience in food manufacturing Micro/Chemistry Laboratory.
• Advanced knowledge of chemistry lab equipment and testing methods.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and good laboratory practices.
• Technical experience in leading analytical chemistry programs.
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for teamwork and independent work.

Responsibilities

• Lead the laboratory roadmap aligned with the business strategy and Global Q&FS Lab priorities.
• Represent the Business Unit in discussions with Global Q&FS Lab Lead for analytical developments.
• Plan and ensure regional capacity for new analytical capabilities across factories.
• Follow through on the deployment of MGS testing methods and adherence to quality procedures.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for laboratory investigations.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in laboratory science for North America.
• Promote a quality culture and safe lab behaviors across the organization.
• Report on laboratory quality metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage verification plans for Food Safety parameters including sampling and monitoring.
• Oversee proficiency testing, associate training, and closure of lab CAPAs.
