The Senior Manager, North America (NA) HR Shared Services (HRSS) Leader is a strategic HR leader responsible for maximizing the effectiveness, utilization, and value of HR Shared Services (HRSS) across North America. Serving as the leader over the HRSS team, this role will drive broader adoption of the HR service delivery model, strengthen partnerships with HR Business Partners (HRBPs), leaders, and employees, and continuously improve the employee experience through process optimization and service expansion.
This position acts as the bridge between HR Shared Services, HRBPs, Centers of Excellence (COEs), business leaders, and employees to ensure HRSS is delivering efficient, scalable, and customer-focused services. The leader will assess the effectiveness of existing processes, identify pain points across the organization, develop solutions that improve service delivery, and expand the scope and capabilities of HRSS to better support the business.
This role is ideal for a strategic HR leader who enjoys transforming service delivery models, solving operational challenges, influencing stakeholders, and building scalable HR capabilities that improve both business performance and employee experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesHR Shared Services Strategy & Adoption- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to increase utilization and adoption of HR Shared Services across North America.
- Serve as the primary advocate for the HRSS model, educating leaders, managers, HRBPs, and employees on available services, value propositions, and expected engagement models.
- Lead initiatives to improve awareness, consistency, and customer experience across manufacturing and corporate populations.
Service Expansion & Capability Development- Identify opportunities to shift transactional and repeatable work into HR Shared Services, enabling HRBPs to focus on strategic business partnership.
- Partner with COEs, HRBP leadership, and HRSS teams to identify additional services that can be effectively centralized.
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence- Facilitate discovery sessions with HRBPs, managers, employees, and HRSS representatives to identify process breakdowns and improvement opportunities.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, process mapping, or other operational excellence methodologies.
- Simplify, standardize, automate, and optimize HR processes to improve efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Stakeholder Partnership & Influence- Build strong relationships with plant leadership, corporate leaders, HRBPs, COEs, and HRSS leadership teams.
- Act as a trusted advisor on HR service delivery, organizational effectiveness, and employee experience improvements.
- Partner with HR leaders across North America to understand local needs while maintaining standardized processes and scalable service delivery.
- Facilitate alignment across stakeholders to drive prioritization, accountability, and successful implementation of improvements.
Project & Change Leadership- Lead large-scale HR transformation, process improvement, and service deployment projects.
- Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while ensuring stakeholder engagement and sustainable outcomes.
Qualifications:Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.
- 7+ years of progressive HR leadership experience.
- Experience as an HR Business Partner preferably in manufacturing, operations, or multi-site environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across all organizational levels.
- Experience driving change management and organizational adoption initiatives.
- Proven ability to analyze operational data and use insights to improve business outcomes.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and executive presentation skills.
- Ability to travel up to 50% initially.
Preferred Qualifications- HR Shared Services leadership or service delivery model experience.
- Experience leading multi-site or geographically dispersed teams.
- Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or Project Management certification.
- Experience with HR technology implementations and optimization initiatives.
- Master's degree or advanced HR/business certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR, PMP, Lean Six Sigma).
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale projects, transformations, or process improvement initiatives.
Success MeasuresBy the end of 2026, this leader will be expected to:
- Significantly increase HRSS adoption and utilization across North America.
- Improve employee and manager satisfaction with HR service delivery.
- Implement measurable process improvements that reduce cycle times and improve service quality.
- Increase partnership effectiveness between HRSS and HRBPs.
Within the first 12+ months, this leader will be expected to:
- Expand the HRSS service catalogue and scope of support.
- Establish a sustainable governance and continuous improvement framework for HR Shared Services.
- Strengthen confidence in the HR operating model through consistent, efficient, and customer-focused service delivery.
