This position works directly with the Municipal Infrastructure Planning Team out of our
Burnaby office, as part of our broader OneISL Municipal Infrastructure Planning team managed out of Calgary.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to effectively liaise with clients. While no two days look the same, you can expect to:
- Plan, analyze, and design urban hydraulic systems (potable water distribution, wastewater collection and stormwater drainage)
- Complete hydrologic and hydraulic modelling of complex urban drainage systems using state of the art software
- Apply your innovative and unique perspective to plan systems that a municipality can be proud of today and in the future
- Contribute to the learning and progression of artificial intelligence and automation in our industry
- Complete and submit proposals
- Leverage your strong skills in water, wastewater and stormwater (including LID) to mentor junior staff
- Coordinate CAD design technologists to prepare designs
- Prepare engineering reports, documents, and figures
- Perform quality management - ensuring quality procedures are followed for drawings and reports
- Develop and maintain ongoing client relationships

Your resume must display:- P.Eng. designation with EGBC registration
- Minimum of 4-6 years of related experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong skills in modelling and planning in water, wastewater or stormwater
- Experience with hydraulic modelling software such as InfoWorks ICM, InfoWater Pro, AquaTwin Water/Sewer, MIKE URBAN/Mike +, WaterCAD, PCSWMM, or HECRAS
Assets:- Familiarity with Civil 3D and ArcGIS Pro
- Experience in consulting engineering environment

Based on your years of experience and qualifications the salary band for this position is:- $100,000 to $115,000 per annum
