About the Role

ISL's Calgary Water/Wastewater Service Line, as part of our Municipal Sector, provides expert assessment, design, construction and commissioning services for water and wastewater systems in communities. We are a multi-disciplinary team of over 20 ISLers, providing services in and around Western Canada.

We are looking for a person to join our close knit team who can apply their knowledge and experience in detailed design to deliver a variety of services for our public and private sector clients with a focus on providing water and wastewater infrastructure designs from planning through construction. We offer our team members a diverse range of projects on which to hone their skills and are committed to team member career progression. We pride ourselves on delivering quality service to our clients on each of our projects.

Responsibilities:

This position will be responsible for multiple aspects of design and tendering including:
  • Design of water and wastewater projects including analysis of existing data, site visits, hydraulic design calculations, and design drawing markups
  • Assisting project managers with project coordination
  • Assisting with quantity take-offs and cost estimates
  • Report and technical memo writing
  • Writing of project and technical specifications
  • Assisting with construction administration
  • Leveraging technology to provide high quality deliverables
  • Assisting with creating proposal content

Bonus points for:
  • Previous experience in municipal water and wastewater design
  • Experience in supporting projects from planning to construction where you have played a role in the full cycle of development

Depending on your experience level, the salary range (based on a 40-hour work week) is:

$74,000 to $100,000
