Job SummaryThe Bakken trend is a sequence of liquids-rich sand and shale layers in the Williston Basin, which stretches across western North Dakota and into Canada. The company's position in the Bakken development area is comprised of approximately 790,000 net unconventional acres, which include 382,000 net mineral acres and 180,000 net leasehold acres. The company focuses on unconventional tight-oil play development and production in the most prolific portion of the basin.
During 2024, net production averaged 115 MBOED. We operated four rigs and one frac crew on average during 2024, resulting in 66 operated wells drilled and 83 operated wells brought online.
Position OverviewIf you are selected as the Multi-Skill Operator (MSO) for the Bakken, you will be responsible for monitoring and improving production. You will perform most of your responsibilities at the well site via a company-provided vehicle.
You will be a Safety Leader and drive ConocoPhillips' commitment to Health, Safety and Environment (HSE).
Candidates must currently reside or be willing to relocate within a 50-mile radius of Watford City, ND.
This position is based in Watford City, ND.
While oil and gas experience is preferred, those with strong mechanical reasoning and comprehension, and interest in outdoor lone-work can be trained. We encourage applicants of a diverse group of backgrounds and experience.

Your responsibilities may include: - Accessing remote locations to check wells, maintain normal operating levels, pressures and flow on separation equipment, adjusting automatic and manual controls
- Inspecting gas and oil wells, tanks, meters, separators, compressors, and attached piping components for leaks or unusual conditions and taking corrective actions
- Gauging tanks for sale or transfer of crude oil and water
- Operating and troubleshooting rental compressors, flowing gas wells, gas lift wells, testing wells and operation of sand traps and flow back equipment
- Maintaining chemical injection rates, start up, and shut in wells
- Entering production data into computer databases and reviewing outputs for correctness
- Executing new facility walk-throughs, management of changes (MOCs), and pre-startup safety reviews (PSSRs)
- Regulatory work including agency testing requirements, change of status, tank & meter numbering for new facilities
- Responding to alarms after hours or when on call
- Implementing all safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures outlined in the ConocoPhillips Management System

Basic Qualifications:- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Current and valid driver's license
- 1 or more years of experience requiring mechanical skills, including but not limited to: use, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment; general tasks requiring physical operation of equipment and machinery; performing inspection of equipment and machinery
- Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to work 10-hour shifts with flexibility to work different schedules as needed
- Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to work 8/6 schedule Wednesday to Wednesday

Preferred Qualifications:- Associate's degree/Trade certification or higher in Production Technology, Process Technology, or other related technical field or foreign equivalent
- 1 or more years of experience in an environment prioritizing Health, Safety and Environment
- 1 or more years of experience with oil and gas production practices, equipment, and terminology
- Basic level of proficiency in using production software Cygnet, SCADA (Wonderwear), eVIN
- Works well with others to meet safety, environment, and production targets
Physical Demands and Work Environment- Work is performed in field and facility environments and may involve exposure to harsh weather conditions, noise, heights, confined spaces, and energized electrical equipment
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn and strict adherence to Safety protocols
- Raise and transport articles weighing up to 50 pounds, oversee hands-on troubleshooting and inspections, including climbing ladders/stairs, walking uneven terrain, and lifting/carrying tools and equipment as needed
- Work alone a high percentage of the time; work weekends
