About You

As a key leader in our hospital, you'll drive positive change and growth. Your influence will shape our vision, foster an exceptional culture, and maintain high standards of care. Partnering with the practice manager and leadership team, you'll develop strategies, implement improvements, and guide our hospital towards excellence in patient and client care, while supporting staff development .

Experience & Skills Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required.
  • State Veterinary Board License and must be in good standing for the state in which they intend to be hired, prior to their start date.
  • Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible.

The Pet Hospitals Poplar a t Massey and The Pet Hospitals Lakeland are a general medicine practice s located in Memphis, Tennessee focusing on wellness exams, vaccinations, microchip implantation, puppy/kitten care, senior care, in-house diagnostics and laboratory, spay, neuter, mass removal, and other general practice services . Our hospital s have compassionate, professional team s and we pride ourselves on our commitment to providing exceptional healthcare for pets and to helping the people who love them make informed decisions regarding their health. We share the belief that all pets are family members and deserve the best care. We are highly skilled, well-trained, and work a schedule that allows for a healthy work-life balance.

We are open Monday - Friday 7:00am - 6:00pm , and Saturday - Sunday: 8:00am - 2:00pm

Our Medical Director compensation package is designed to be both competitive and flexible, with final compensation determined by factors such as experience, leadership tenure, market conditions, and overall qualifications. The role offers a base salary range of $165,000-$180,000, plus a Medical Director stipend ranging from $10,000-$20,000 annually. In addition, Medical Directors participate in an enhanced production model, typically at 22%, resulting in a robust and highly attractive total compensation opportunity.
