Requisition SummaryWe have an immediate need for a MRO Buyer to support material ordering, processing of purchase orders and providing support to our suppliers and end users.
Job Functions / Responsibilities- Prepare and issue purchase orders for MRO products and services.
- Route and distribute purchase orders for approval according to authority matrices.
- Manage supplier relationships, including cost, quality, delivery, and service requirements.
- Source suppliers, obtain quotations and bids, and make purchasing decisions.
- Identify opportunities to consolidate and streamline purchasing activities.
- Develop and implement cost-reduction and supply chain improvement strategies.
- Support Commodity Managers regarding commercial and contractual requirements.
- Maintain supplier databases and communications.
- Issue change orders related to price, specifications, and quantities.
- Coordinate MRO activities with Administrative, Sales/Marketing, Engineering, and other departments.
- Monitor product quality and quantity and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies with Accounting and requestors.
- Use Business Intelligence tools for MRO analysis and reporting.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
Qualifications- Minimum 3 years of purchasing, billing, financial management, engineering, operations, or related business experience.
- Experience with production or MRO purchasing, manufacturing, and/or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Creative, quality-focused, and results-driven.
- Self-motivated team player capable of working with limited supervision.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to develop Return on Investment (ROI) analyses.
EducationAssociate's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
