IBJI has a Float MRI Technologist opportunity (Full Time 40 hours). This position will provide coverage as needed at these locations: Westmont and New Lenox. Ideal Candidates must have current state of Illinois IEMA Certification, ARRT Certification in MRI.
Job Responsibilities- Operate equipment for imaging and anything related on various areas of the body in order to provide high quality images and information for patient diagnosis.
- Address patient concerns during the procedures, and explain the MRI process to the patient in a way that is informative but also reassuring.
- Use tact, courtesy and poise when dealing with patients, keeping them calm and ensuring that they get the best care possible.
- Communicate effectively with radiologists and other health care professionals.
- Troubleshoot peripheral equipment and scanners to ensure that equipment is operating properly to avoid downtime or delays that affect patient satisfaction.
- Ensure patient safety with aseptic injection technique and pre-screening for any contra-indications before the procedure.
- Handle high-stress environments in a calm manner when treating patients, co-workers, and physicians.
Requirements
- Current state of Illinois IEMA Certification
- Current ARRT Certification in both Radiography and MRI
- Current CPR certification
- Experience working in high-stress environments
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Ability to travel to different facilities as needed
- Ability to work as a team with receptionists, physicians, and clinical staff
- Orthopedic experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs
Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills and relevant experience.
