  • Operate and maintain MRI equipment, performing routine quality control checks
  • Review and process MRI images for accuracy before passing them to radiologists

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Imaging Tech, you will perform a variety of advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures across diverse imaging modalities under the general direction of departmental leadership.

Every day, you will expertly operate complex imaging equipment, precisely execute imaging protocols, and meticulously monitor patients to ensure their safety and comfort throughout diagnostic and interventional procedures.

To be successful in this role, you will skillfully produce high-quality diagnostic images, collaborate effectively with the medical team, and steadfastly advocate for patient safety and optimal outcomes within the imaging environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the routine daily operation of the MRI department and General Radiology in the absence of the Coordinator.
  • Responsible for assisting in the employee schedule, daily work assignments, and productivity standards. This also includes assisting and participating in the call and standby schedule.
  • Responsible for assisting with departmental cross-training in MRI and Radiology, when needed.
  • Responsible for collaborating with the radiologist as the director of care.

This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • An Associate of Arts must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a hospital and radiology department, with previous supervisory experience required.
  • Bachelor of Science must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a hospital and radiology department, with previous supervisory experience required.
  • CA Medical Radiographer (CA MRAD) required.
  • Registered Technologist Radiology (ARRT) required.
  • (national) CRT (state) and Fluoroscopy certification required.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support Cert (AHA BLS) required.
  • Fire Safety card (must be obtained within 90 days of start date) required.
