Term: 2026-27 School Year - Continuing Contract
Hours/Schedule: 7.5 hr/day 5 days/week - Certificated 1.0 FTE
Contract/Salary Range/Benefits: 180 Days/MEA 26-27 Salary Schedule ($63,954 - $126,527), SEBB insurance, PFML, Washington DRS, paid days off (12 sick days and 3 personal days)
Qualifications:- Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate - endorsed in science required, other endorsements will be considered if there are no properly endorsed candidates
- English Language Learner endorsement preferred
- Knowledge of current trends in curriculum, instruction, and technology
- Ability to plan instructional programs to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Knowledge and/or experience with state assessment requirements preferred
- Knowledge and/or experience with federal and state special education regulations preferred
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
- Must be able to safely lift and/or move equipment and supplies as needed in the course of classroom instruction
Responsibilities:- Work cooperatively and efficiently with administrators, staff, students and parents.
- Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team when requested and maintain positive inter-staff communications.
- Show evidence of adequate planning and preparation while maintaining an organized classroom conducive to learning.
- Ability to focus students' attention on lesson while clearly stating objectives while skillfully apply teaching strategies with the ability to adjust instruction to meet various student needs
- Evaluate, monitor and report student learning and progress; using applicable data to drive instructional decisions.
- Must be able to establish clear expectations for student "in-classroom" conduct making expectations known to students.
- Must show enthusiasm, as well as guide and assist students while providing instruction.
- Provide individual and group services to children and/or parents that emphasize improved educational performance and/or conduct.
- Demonstrate evidence of continued learning interests related to academics, technology, and improved standards
