Position Summary:The Mold Maker manages builds and repairs of tooling projects.
Shifts Available: - 1st shift: Monday - Thursday, possible overtime on Fridays
Responsibilities- Investigate/Identify mold issues and perform necessary repairs
- Identify and recommend improvements for tool development and performance
- Perform setup and operation of CNC equipment
- Perform grinding of complex pins, cores, cavities and shutoffs
- Prepare components for heat treatment
- Perform shutoffs with minimal oversight
- Support mentoring apprentices and less experienced team members
- Read and follow work instructions, setup sheets, and checklists accurately
- Record time and repair details into the maintenance ticket system.
Qualifications- Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience repairing molds
- 4+ years minimum of hands-on bench experience in a tooling environment.
- Understanding of quality procedures and standards
- Ability to build tools that include intricate part details, such as lifters, slides, and exploders
- Ability to provide informed input on repair, revision, and troubleshooting tasks
- Ability to perform tool fitting and final assembly with high accuracy
- Asking only minimal clarifying questions to complete tasks independently
- Ability to read and interpret engineering prints and blueprints
- Skilled in using hand tools, surface grinders, mills, and lathes
- Ability to grind or machine a variety of mold components
- Demonstrate skills using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Familiarity with Operational Excellence or Lean Manufacturing practices
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team collaboration skills
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow work instructions and SOPs
- Demonstrated mechanical dexterity with strong hand-eye coordination
- Proven problem-solving ability and troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Preferred Requirements:- 7+ years of hands-on bench experience in a tooling environment preferred
- Associate degree or 2 years of technical/trade school is preferred
Physical & Environmental Demands:Cretex Companies use cutting oils, solvents, and other chemicals in the manufacturing process. Testing is conducted on a periodic basis to ensure that all chemicals are kept well below the OSHA permissible exposure levels.

Mold Maker I: 29.81/hr to 44.71/hr
Mold Maker II: 32.79/hr to 49.23/hr
Mold Maker III: 36.06/hr to 54.13/hr
