Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated leader who will make a difference leading the Business Safety Systems while improving results. In this role you will provide Safety leadership and support to the Albany Procter and Gamble (P&G) site via technical mastery and site-specific coaching.

As a member of the site Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) team, the Module Safety Leader will provide leadership for the facility's safety performance through coaching, assisting with Risk Predictions, Safety Incident Reports, Inspections, and operating floor behavioral and housekeeping audits. You will be a key partner with HS&E, engineering, and manufacturing resources in delivering new business initiatives meeting safety objectives.

Focus areas include, but are not limited to:
  • Participating in shift exchange and team Daily Direction Setting meetings as the safety representative. Ensure safety communication boards are updated and be able to provide professional communication to leadership.
  • Maintaining records and assuring compliance with site safe practices & standards.
  • Developing HSE team and Operations safety skills and capability and enabling application of that capability throughout the site including training for new hires and refresher training for tenured employees.
  • Developing a business safety masterplan to address any gaps and enable activities that drive injury free careers.
  • Creating and implementing focused action plans with emphasis on safety culture, performance, legal and regulatory compliance, and site safety objectives
  • Evaluating capital projects for safety risks, and participating in project design and delivery for improved results
  • Owning all Safety systems, inspections, and PPE for the operating business.


Job Qualifications

Required Degree: Highschool Diploma or GED

Preferred Degree/Experience: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP) and/or significant work experience in commercial/industrial operations where preventative professional safety duties represent a considerable amount of responsibilities.

Skills:
  • Ability to lead, influence, and implement improvements across a broad/diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to problem solve, analyze, redesign and implement plans.
  • Strong Communication and Collaboration Skills (Verbal and written)
  • Ability to provide engaging training and assess capability
  • Strong Project Leadership and People Management Skills
  • Ability to implement and interpret OSHA and P&G safety regulations and standards
