The Opportunity:

The Senior Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Engineer is a subject matter expert in Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) simulation environments. This individual will lead the design, development, and integration of complex simulation tools to support large-scale Joint and Coalition exercises. This role is central to providing a realistic virtual battlefield for training, analysis, and system validation.

Responsibilities:

  • Joint Simulation Environment Mastery: Handles the Joint Theater Level Simulation - Global Operations (JTLS-GO) environment, including its use in Combatant Command level Command Post Exercises (CPXs) and Field Training Exercises (FTXs).
  • Simulation Interoperability: Integrates disparate simulation systems and C4I systems with the core JTLS-GO simulation, ensuring seamless data exchange and operational realism.
  • Technical Leadership & Strategy: Provides technical direction and supervision to development teams.
  • Presents technical roadmaps and strategic plans for simulation architecture.
  • Full M&S Lifecycle Support: Experience across the full M&S lifecycle, including requirements analysis, tool development, Verification, Validation, and Accreditation (VV&A), and post-event analysis.

Qualifications:

Required:  

  • Bachelor's or higher in relevant technical discipline such as Computer, Operations Research, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or other engineering majors.
  • Possess 8 years experience with 12 years relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • LVC Expertise: 10+ years of experience in M&S engineering, with a deep understanding of LVC principles and their application in DoD technical programs.
