Full Job Description
The Model Line Commercial Manager owns the commercial performance of assigned vehicle lines throughout their lifecycle in market. This role serves as the commercial lead for current model year performance, translating market insights into actionable incentive, inventory, and retail execution strategies that maximize sales, market share, and inventory efficiency.

Working cross-functionally with Brand, Sales, Incentives, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, Field Operations, and Dealer Network Development, this role identifies emerging opportunities and risks, develops tactical action plans, and drives execution to achieve short-term business objectives while supporting long-term brand success.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Manage the commercial performance of assigned vehicle lines by monitoring sales, market share, inventory, dealer execution, and competitive activity to identify risks, opportunities, and performance drivers.
  • Develop and execute commercial action plans through incentive strategies, inventory optimization, and dealer initiatives that improve retail sales performance and market competitiveness.
  • Prepare executive-ready reporting and business updates that communicate vehicle performance, key insights, and recommended actions to support commercial decision-making.
  • Partner cross-functionally with supporting departments to drive coordinated execution of commercial initiatives and current model year objectives.
  • Influence commercial decisions through data-driven recommendations that improve sales, market share, inventory health, and retail execution.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in Sales, Commercial Strategy, Pricing, Incentives, Brand Management, Product Planning, Finance, or related automotive experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations.
  • Experience developing executive-level presentations and communicating recommendations to leadership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Must live in the Metro Detroit area or be willing to relocate to support in-person needs at the Auburn Hills Headquarters.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with automotive retail sales performance, pricing strategy, incentives, or commercial planning.
  • Knowledge of dealer operations, inventory management, and automotive market dynamics.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across Sales, Brand, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority across multiple organizations.
