Job DescriptionDetailed Description:
As part of the Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Team, you will primarily be responsible for supporting the MV-75 Digital Backbone (DBB), other DoW programs, internal research & development projects, and some support of Civil Platforms. This team is responsible for MBSE development for all of GE Avionics as well as Integration / System-of-Systems activities for major programs.
Primary Responsibilities:- Systems Engineering development IAW ARP4754, DO-178, and DO-254 (execution of the full systems engineering lifecycle).
- Model-Based definition using SysML (v.1 and v.2) in Cameo to define system requirements and architecture for the design and verification of avionics-based systems.
- Integration activities for GE developed components in a Systems Integration Lab (SIL).
- Tool automation and scripting (for various tools in various languages).
- Teamwork Cloud server support and MBSE tool development
- Customer support for key systems engineering milestones and deliveries.
- MBSE IR&D and Continuous Improvement support of GE Avionics' Modeling and Simulation approach.
- Program plan management and updates for systems engineering processes and adherence including configuration management of model-based artifacts.
Desired Qualifications (Optional):
Prior experience needed with MBSE/Modeling:
- At least 4 years' experience with MBSE languages (e.g. SysML, UML) and tools (e.g. Cameo, Rhapsody).
- At least 2 years' experience with scripting languages (e.g. python, Java, VTL, groovy).
- Experience with lab integration and verification activities.
- Experience with Large Language Model usage.
- Knowledge of the key aspects of developing and maintaining of a Product Line.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a dynamic environment.
Eligibility Requirements:- Ability & Willingness to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance.
- This position requires U.S. citizenship status.
- Location: Grand Rapids, MI or Clearwater, FL (Must reside or willing to relocate (relocation provided).
The base pay range for this position is $112,000.00 - $149,000.00 USD Annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on 8/31/26
