Mobile Director of Nursing (DON/RN) to support multiple skilled nursing facilities within the Lima, Ohio region. This leadership role is designed for a seasoned nurse leader who thrives in dynamic environments and is capable of driving consistent clinical excellence across multiple locations.
The Mobile DON will provide hands-on leadership, mentorship, and operational support across approximately 5-6 facilities, ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and strong clinical outcomes at each site. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven nursing leader who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and making an impact across a broader organizational footprint.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:- Provide interim leadership as the acting Director of Nursing at assigned facilities as needed.
- Assess and stabilize nursing operations during leadership transitions, regulatory challenges, or staffing shortages.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and company regulations and standards of care.
- Assist facilities with preparation and response to state surveys and audits.
- Monitor quality metrics, develop action plans, and support implementation to improve clinical outcomes.
- Mentor and train facility nursing leadership and staff on clinical best practices, documentation, and company policies.
- Participate in facility and regional leadership meetings as a clinical resource.
- Provide support during crisis management situations including infection control outbreaks or major clinical incidents.
- Travel frequently to assigned facilities within the region or company footprint.
- Actively participate in the onboarding of new Directors of Nursing.
- Report clinical concerns and progress regularly to regional and executive leadership.
