Mobile Developer Lead
Product Engineer I
UST is searching for a highly skilled Lead Mobile Developer with a solid understanding of React Native and/or iOS development and Android development, native platform integration, and scalable architecture. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in enterprise or large-scale projects, contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle. The opportunity:
• Design and develop high-performance, scalable, and reusable React Native applications.
• Build and integrate custom plugins and components for React Native applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code using TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues to maintain performance and quality.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and seamless user experience.
• Implement and manage state using Redux or other state management libraries.
• Stay updated with the latest React Native, React, and native platform advancements.
• Work closely with designers, product managers, and backend developers for efficient API integration

What you need:
• Strong proficiency in React Native, React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with state management tools (Redux, Context API, or MobX).
• Deep understanding of React Native components, lifecycle methods, hooks, and performance optimization techniques.
• Ability to write native modules and integrate with native platforms (iOS/Android).
• Experience building custom plugins and publishing NPM packages.
• Solid knowledge of building enterprise-level scalable applications.
• Familiarity with integrating third-party libraries, tools, and APIs.
• Basic understanding of native platforms (iOS and Android) and their ecosystems.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, and API integration.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with iOS/ Android development as well.
• Experience working on 3-4 enterprise or large-scale projects.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for React Native projects.
• Knowledge of version control tools (Git/GitHub/Bitbucket/Gitlab).
• Exposure to performance monitoring and debugging tools like Flipper.
• Understanding of agile methodologies and development practices.
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: Remote-US
Compensation Range: $71,000-$107,000

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) program with employer matching. Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).
All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
