Job Title: Mobile Application Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in native iOS application development using Swift, including 3+ years in a formal engineering management or technical lead role directly managing mobile engineers.
  • Exposure to Android development (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, or Android architecture components) is needed, especially for guiding a mixed iOS/Android team or evaluating cross-platform trade-offs.
  • Proven experience leading teams that build mission-critical, offline-first mobile applications.
  • Ability to partner with Product/PM to translate customer requirements into a roadmap, then drive the team to deliver against it.
  • Experience using tools like Instabug/Firebase to triage production issues, guide root-cause investigation, and coach engineers through customer-impacting bugs.
  • Strong understanding of mobile architecture patterns such as MVVM and Clean Architecture - enough to review designs, set technical direction, and unblock the team, even if not writing production code daily.
  • Working knowledge of RESTful API integration, data synchronization, and secure authentication mechanisms, sufficient to guide architectural trade-offs and review technical designs.
  • Working knowledge of WebViews and ability to use it efficiently
  • Strong grounding in debugging, performance optimization, and memory management - enough to mentor engineers through hard problems and make sound trade-off calls.
